The legal situation in Belize
Polymarket does not geoblock Belize, and no Belizean action against it was found. Online gaming companies need a licence under the Gaming Control Act and its Online Gaming Regulations. In a February 2022 notice, the Gaming Control Board said Mum Casino Ltd. was the only licensed online operator. That notice targeted firms falsely claiming Belize licences, not foreign sites used by Belizeans. Prediction markets are not addressed.
