The legal situation in Jamaica
Jamaica is not on Polymarket's geoblock list, and the BGLC has not named Polymarket. The BGLC says only operators it licenses may take bets from people in Jamaica. It has authorised three licensees to offer online gaming while a full online framework is drafted. The Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act has no explicit online provisions, and in August 2025 the regulator asked for laws 'with teeth' against unlicensed and online bookmakers.
