The legal situation in Morocco
Polymarket does not geoblock Morocco, and no Moroccan action naming it was found. Legal sports betting is a state monopoly held by MDJS. On 12 January 2026, MDJS won an urgent order from the Casablanca Commercial Court requiring Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi to block unlicensed betting sites. The commercial appeal court suspended that order on 26 January 2026. Crypto has been officially restricted since a November 2017 statement, and draft Bill 42.25 (November 2025) would bring it under AMMC licensing.

What are your options in Morocco?
If Polymarket or local law restricts this country, the honest answer is: don't try to get around it. VPNs and third-party wallets break Polymarket's terms, can get funds frozen and may be illegal locally. Look for prediction markets or exchanges licensed by Marocaine des Jeux et des Sports (MDJS); Bank Al-Maghrib; AMMC, and check back here: rules change.
