The legal situation in Senegal
Polymarket does not geoblock Senegal, and no Senegalese action naming Polymarket was found. Under Law No. 87-43 of 23 December 1987, LONASE holds the monopoly on games of chance and betting. In 2026 LONASE published a list of 17 authorised online platforms. It warned that any unlisted platform is clandestine and that its owners, and payment operators who assist it, can be prosecuted. Polymarket is not on that list.

What are your options in Senegal?
If Polymarket or local law restricts this country, the honest answer is: don't try to get around it. VPNs and third-party wallets break Polymarket's terms, can get funds frozen and may be illegal locally. Look for prediction markets or exchanges licensed by Loterie Nationale Sénégalaise (LONASE), and check back here: rules change.
