The legal situation in Ukraine
Polymarket fully blocks the occupied Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions for sanctions reasons. Separately, Ukraine's communications regulator NKEK, acting on a PlayCity recommendation, added polymarket.com to the national block register in December 2025, and ISPs enforced it from mid-January 2026. Local reports cited large war-related positions on the platform.
Key facts

- Polymarket separately blocks Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk under its sanctions geoblock.
What are your options in Ukraine?
If Polymarket or local law restricts this country, the honest answer is: don't try to get around it. VPNs and third-party wallets break Polymarket's terms, can get funds frozen and may be illegal locally. Look for prediction markets or exchanges licensed by PlayCity (state gambling regulator); National Commission for State Regulation of Electronic Communications (NKEK), and check back here: rules change.
