The legal situation in Uzbekistan

Polymarket does not geoblock Uzbekistan, and no NAPP action naming Polymarket was found. Online betting became legal on 1 January 2025 under a presidential decree, and NAPP issued the first bookmaker licences on 31 July 2026. NAPP regulates both crypto and gambling. It has blocked about 70 sites promoting offshore bookmakers since 2025, and since August 2022 it has blocked unlicensed foreign crypto exchanges. Residents may trade crypto only through licensed domestic providers.

Key facts

  • 31 Jul 2026: NAPP issued the first bookmaker licences, to Olimpbet and Aurum Vale (oltinbet.uz).
  • About 70 sites advertising offshore bookmakers have been blocked since early 2025.
  • Since Aug 2022, unlicensed foreign crypto exchanges such as Binance have been blocked; only licensed local exchanges are allowed.

What are your options in Uzbekistan?

If Polymarket or local law restricts this country, the honest answer is: don't try to get around it. VPNs and third-party wallets break Polymarket's terms, can get funds frozen and may be illegal locally. Look for prediction markets or exchanges licensed by National Agency of Perspective Projects (NAPP), and check back here: rules change.
